Embedded systems pathway extended to apprenticeships from September 2025

Automotive, aeronautics, space, connected objects, intelligent mobility, digital health... embedded systems are omnipresent in our daily lives. To meet the sector's growing demand, Télécom SudParis will be opening up its in-depth embedded systems track to apprenticeship students (FISA) at the start of the 2025 academic year .

Previously offered only to students in initial training (FISE), this pathway will now be shared between the two statuses. Apprentices and students in initial training will follow the same program together, reinforcing the mix of profiles and the richness of exchanges.

A direct response to business needs

The opening of this apprenticeship track is the fruit of discussions with partner companies, notably through the FISA Advanced Training Council. They expressed a need: to be able to train engineers specialized in embedded systems, a field with high technological stakes, on a work-study basis.

Targeted skills in the field

The training content remains identical to that already offered in FISE, with an approach rooted in industrial realities:

  • Sensors and associated systems
  • Short-range communications, network protocols
  • Embedded and real-time programming
  • Digital architectures
  • Mobility and communicating objects

Embedded systems: opportunities in all sectors of industry

This specialization prepares students for a wide range of strategic positions:

  • Embedded systems R&D engineer
  • Embedded systems or applications architect
  • System integrator
  • Software or embedded systems project manager

Profiles sought by many industrial sectors - from major aerospace groups to IoT start-ups - to design, integrate and optimize embedded technology solutions.

An apprentice profile already prepared

Our target group of apprentices mainly comes from technical backgrounds such as BUT (networks & telecoms, physical measurements, etc.), with a solid grounding in electronics, programming and systems architecture. The work-study program will enable them to deepen these skills while directly confronting industrial challenges.

Embedded systems: a strategic specialization

By making this advanced track available to both FISE and FISA students, Télécom SudParis is strengthening its commitment to training engineers specializing in embedded technologies, an essential pillar of the digital industry.
